Berlin East Side Gallery

The East Side Gallery is an international memorial for freedom. It is a 1.3 km long section of the Berlin Wall located near the centre of Berlin on Mühlenstraße in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg.

The Gallery consists of 105 paintings by artists from all over the world, painted in 1990 on the east side of the Berlin Wall.

The paintings at the East Side Gallery document a time of change and express the euphoria and great hopes for a better, more free future for all people of the world.

Visiting East Side Gallery had been on my bucket list for a long time and surely I couldn’t miss it while I was in Berlin last month. Enjoy some of the pictures I took and feel free to share your thoughts 🙂

“My God, Help Me To Survive This Deadly Love” – one of the most iconic paintings of the East Side Gallery. For full story behind it, visit this page here.

And more pictures!

Thanks for visiting! 🙂 Stay tune for more posts to come.
